Dr. Burton Terry “Doc” Wolf, the longtime Wildlife Director of Lion Country Safari in Loxahatchee, Florida, passed away at the age of 92 on March 5, 2025, in Palm Beach Gardens.
His career and retirement details include:
Retirement: Dr. Wolf retired from his position as Wildlife Director in 2015 after 40 years of service at the park.
Post-Retirement: Following his initial retirement, he briefly assisted in the development of a new drive-through zoo in Alabama.
Death: He died peacefully surrounded by family just one week after celebrating his 92nd birthday.
